Job summary

AJ FOX COMPLIANCE is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our client services team in Belfast. You will facilitate smooth client and matter inception procedures, conduct risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance across the firm's global network.

We require at least 3 years' hands-on experience in onboarding, risk or compliance within a law firm, with a solid AML/CFT foundation and customer due diligence.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in client onboarding, risk or compliance within a law firm.
• Solid foundation in anti-money laundering regulations and customer due diligence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day client onboarding workflows in compliance with AML laws and firm policies.
• Conduct customer due diligence, identity verification, and assess ownership structures.
• Perform initial risk assessments, sanctions screening, PEP checks and adverse media monitoring.
• Liaise with fee earners and internal teams to gather verification documentation.
• Maintain accurate client and matter records in risk management and case management software.
• Support ongoing client monitoring, file updates, and routine compliance reporting across offices.
• Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding processes and improve efficiency.
