Senior Consultant | Risk and Compliance Recruitment

I am working with a top city law firm that is looking for an experienced compliance analyst to join their team, which includes the Head of Compliance, Risk and Compliance Manager, Risk and Compliance Lawyer, and Compliance Officers. The successful candidate will work closely with the team to support client and matter onboarding processes and help ensure the firm’s compliance with relevant regulations.

The role will involve the following responsibilities:

1. Conducting enhanced CDD (Client Due Diligence) during client onboarding, especially for those with complex structures.
2. Advising fee-earners and requesting additional information needed for conflicts and AML checks.
3. Monitoring existing clients and updating central registers.
4. Conducting sanctions screenings for PEPs.
5. Responding to compliance and AML queries and liaising with the MLRO as needed.
6. Participating in ad-hoc compliance projects as they arise.
7. Managing the shared compliance inbox for new client and matter openings, ensuring timely responses.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a risk and compliance role, ideally within a law firm.
• Experience in client onboarding and risk assessment reviews.
• Experience conducting CDD for corporate entities and complex structures.
• Knowledge of general risk and compliance matters in a law firm setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented approach.
