Join a well-established Lloyd’s insurance broker with offices in the City of London and Essex. Known for its commitment to excellence and client service, this respected organisation offers a collaborative and professional environment where your contributions will be valued. With a strong reputation in the market and a focus on integrity and compliance, this is a company where you can grow your career in a meaningful way.
Your new role
As Assistant to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s regulatory and compliance functions. You’ll be involved in a wide range of responsibilities, from conducting compliance monitoring and audits to assisting with regulatory reporting and policy development. Your day-to-day will be varied, including tasks such as managing the breach register, liaising with regulators, facilitating audits, and supporting AML processes. You’ll also help prepare and implement staff training programs, maintain accurate records, and ensure the company’s procedures align with FCA and Lloyd’s requirements. This is a dynamic position that offers exposure to both strategic and operational aspects of compliance within a Lloyd’s broker setting.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid understanding of FCA regulations and insurance compliance, ideally gained through previous experience in an administrative support role within the insurance sector. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected, and a responsible, proactive attitude will be key to your success. Working towards or holding professional qualifications such as CII or ICA would be advantageous, as would a genuine interest in risk and compliance within the insurance industry.
What you'll get in return
This is a permanent role paying up to £45,000 with the opportunity for hybrid working.
