Job summary

Marlin Selection seeks an experienced contracts professional to support physical LNG, crude oil, refined products and biofuels trading teams. You will draft, review and negotiate sale and purchase contracts to safeguard commercial and regulatory interests.

You will validate trade entries in the ETRM system, ensure timely confirmations and resolve discrepancies with traders. You will provide contractual guidance to traders, operators and internal stakeholders on complex agreements and storage

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the energy trading industry and contract background in physical commodity trading.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in LNG and/or refined products trading.
• Knowledge of LNG Master Sale and Purchase Agreements (MSPAs) and storage agreements is advantageous.

Job description

• Draft, review and negotiate sale and purchase contracts for physical LNG, crude oil, refined products and biofuels.
• Validate trade entries and collaborate closely with trading teams to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, ensuring timely trade confirmations and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
• Provide contractual guidance and support to traders, operators and other internal stakeholders, addressing contractual queries and potential operational issues.

You will need to have the following:

• Strong understanding of the energy trading industry, supported by a solid contractual background in physical commodity trading.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in LNG and/or refined products trading.
• Sound understanding of contractual trading agreements, General Terms and Conditions, complex contractual structures, including LNG Master Sale and Purchase Agreements (MSPAs), and storage agreements would be advantageous.
