Our customer, an innovative legal tech company, is seeking two experienced lawyers to support the development of cutting-edge contract analysis tools. The company, currently with approximately 100 employees, is building AI-driven products designed to help legal teams edit complex contracts and understand the downstream impact of those changes. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how legal technology supports transactional lawyers.

About the Role:

You will collaborate closely with the product team to develop legal intelligence features, especially those that identify interdependencies and structural impacts within long-form contracts. Your insights will help evaluate existing tools and contribute to the evolution of an AI-first contract editing platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex contracts (e.g., credit agreements, SPAs) to identify and map clause interdependencies, definitions, schedules, etc.
• Work with product managers and developers to refine cause-and-effect features (e.g., adjusting clause 27.3 and assessing impacts on Schedule 4 and definitions).
• Provide legal insights on how changes to clauses affect contract structure and intent.
• Evaluate outputs from existing features and offer feedback on accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in designing innovative contract editing and risk flagging tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5–6 years PQE, preferably from a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
• Senior Associate level with experience managing deals alongside partners.
• Strong background in corporate and finance law (M&A, lending, credit facilities, etc.).
• Ability to understand and explain the effects of structural changes (e.g., removing a revolving credit facility).
• Curious, proactive, and interested in legal tech innovations.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, collaborative, and non-hierarchical environments.
• Experience with sample/test contracts to inform product development.
• Bonus: IP familiarity is a plus, but focus remains on transactional expertise.

Work Structure & Flexibility:

• Remote, project-based work with flexible hours.
• Open to hourly or other engagement models based on mutual fit.
• Initial focus on evaluating current product features, with potential for ongoing collaboration.
