Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated Dietitian to lead the Dietetics service for Specialist Medicine and provide complex nutritional support on the specialist medicine wards in east London.
The role requires expert knowledge in complex nutrition, including parenteral nutrition, and leadership to supervise junior staff and drive service development. A strong multidisciplinary approach and quality improvement experience are essential.
This contract for this role will end on 31st December 2029.
The position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and ambitious Dietitian to lead the Dietetics service for Specialist Medicine and provide complex nutritional support on the specialist medicine wards. This includes a number of specialist areas including infection and immunity, complex endocrinology and respiratory. The successful candidate should have expert knowledge and experience within the area complex nutrition support and should be able to provide advice for parenteral nutrition. Preferably the successful candiate will also have experience working with people with complex mental health and social needs including exposure to people with eating disorders.
We are looking for applicants who are extremely motivated and hard-working with previous experience of managing a very busy caseload along with experience of leadership and successful line management. There is scope to expand and develop the services and the successful candidate is expected to engage and lead in service development. Excellent communication skills and multidisciplinary working is required. Evidence of undertaking quality improvement initiatives and service development is also essential.
