Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The role involves one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with severe and complex needs, including autism and sensory processing challenges, within a life-skills focused curriculum.
You will work alongside teachers, therapists and families to support communication, physical, social and emotional development, aiming to foster independence and safety in a specialist setting.

Experience supporting pupils with complex SEN is essential.
If you have genuine experience supporting children and young people with complex SEN, this Complex Needs Teaching Assistant position offers the opportunity to work within a specialist setting where individual development, communication and independence are central to the curriculum.
The setting supports children and young people aged 4-19 with severe, complex and profound additional needs. Provision includes pupils with complex autism spectrum conditions, language and communication needs, profound physical and cognitive disabilities, Down's syndrome and sensory processing needs.
The provision supports pupils with severe and complex learning needs, including complex autism, through a life-skills-focused curriculum designed to develop independence and prepare pupils for adulthood. The school also works therapeutically with on-site occupational therapy and speech and language professionals.
You MUST have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN.
Ideally, you will have experience working with complex needs, autism, sensory processing needs, profound or severe learning difficulties or associated physical and communication needs.
The role requires resilience, patience, consistency and the ability to build trusting professional relationships.
