Job description

Safe Haven Sussex CIC is a non-profit community interest company providing accommodation and support for vulnerable adults who were homeless or vulnerably housed.

The role will be based within the Seagull Project, which houses 36 individuals in 7 houses across Brighton and Hove. Residents have a range of complex support needs including substance use, mental health, physical health and learning disability. The project provides a safe and stable home for residents to be able to address any unmet needs and consider their life goals, in order to recover from homelessness and work towards moving into more independent living.

Support Coordinators will have a caseload of around 10-15 residents within the Seagull Project.

Responsibilities:
· Provide support to residents with a range of needs, including substance use, mental and physical health through weekly 1:1 keywork meetings
· Support residents to manage their daily living activities in areas such as finances and budgeting, developing life and work skills. Ensure residents are supported to maintain housing benefit claims, pay rent and service charges and maintain the condition of their property
· Deliver and facilitate monthly house meetings and workshops which support residents to gain skills in budgeting, cooking, and also creative activities
· Collaboratively create person centred Support Plans with SMART goals with residents with the overall goal to work towards being able to move on to more independent accommodation
· Maintain detailed casework records across different recording platforms
· Arrange and attend appointments with residents, including GP, Probation, CGL Recovery appointments
· Work closely with other services in the city to ensure a holistic support package is provided to residents
· Ensure the project and support is provided in a trauma-informed way and that we are working within in line with the aims of the Local Authority and the Rough Sleeper Strategy
