Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the Tottington area of Bury. You will provide targeted assistance to children with diverse SEND needs, helping them access personalised learning and develop essential life skills.

The role focuses on one-to-one and small-group support, communication through aided methods, and collaboration with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to maintain safeguarding and a nurturing

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex SEND.
• Caring, patient and compassionate approach.
• Understanding of autism, developmental delay and communication needs.
• Ability to follow individual support plans and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with complex needs.
• Support communication through visual aids, gestures and alternative communication strategies.
• Help pupils access personalised learning activities.
• Support sensory activities and emotional regulation.
