A leading organization in Scotland is seeking Complex Needs Practitioners for their Todhill services. This full-time role involves supporting individuals with Autism and learning disabilities, providing personal care, and assisting with daily tasks in a newly developed facility. Here at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, we are currently looking to recruit Complex Needs Practitioners for our Todhill services in Stevenston, where we support individuals with a variety of needs such as ongoing Mental Health issues, Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Dementia.
We are currently only able to accept applications from candidates who have a valid driver's license for manual vehicles. Access to your own car is not necessary.
This is a full-time position consisting of 39 hours per week. Please be aware that we operate a 3-shift system (dayshift, backshift, and nightshift).
This campus has recently undergone a multi-million-pound development to provide 21 brand-new homes designed to meet the needs and preferences of the residents and to complement the surrounding natural environment. This development has unlocked the full potential of Todhill's beautiful 105-acre rural site, which includes a Day Centre Service offering vocational and recreational activities such as horticulture, arts and crafts, and animal husbandry.
You will be part of a committed team supporting individuals with Autism and complex learning disabilities. Support includes personal care, cooking, household tasks, shopping, and attending appointments. Some individuals have complex communication needs, and we use various communication tools to meet these needs. Some individuals may experience anxiety and display challenging behaviors, often when trying to communicate something.
No care experience is necessary, but we welcome applicants with previous experience in similar services or those seeking to develop their careers. Skills supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or knowledge of borderline personality disorder are advantageous.
