THE RICHMOND FELLOWSHIP SCOTLAND LIMITED is recruiting a Complex Needs Practitioner Level 1 in Bellshill to join a dedicated team providing personal care, meal prep, appointments and financial support. The role requires a calm, empathetic approach and ability to work in a supportive environment.

Role involves working with individuals with complex needs, including communication support and safety procedures. Full-time, permanent position; 25 hours per week. Driving and access to own car preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a care setting.

  • Confidence in using computers.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living activities including meals, appointments, finances, and personal care.
  • Assist with moving and handling and provide emotional support.
  • Support individuals with complex communication needs using appropriate tools.

Job description

We are on the lookout for an experienced individual with a calm and understanding nature to join our team in Bellshill as a Complex Needs Practitioner Level 1 on a full-time, permanent basis (25 hours per week).

The Role

Due to the nature of the role we are only able to consider female applicants that drive with access to their own car.

As a Complex Needs Practitioner, you will be part of a dedicated and friendly team, supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care. You'll also provide emotional support and assist them to maintain relationships with family and friends. Some individuals have complex communication needs and use different communication tools to meet their needs.

In our service we may use CALM which are physical intervention and escape techniques to ensure the safety of supported individuals, colleagues, and members of the public. Techniques include but are not limited to; posture and distance when supporting, understanding triggers and escalations signs along with guiding individuals away to deescalate situations.

To be an amazing Complex Needs Practitioner, we’ll need you to bring:

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and on your own.
  • Good organisational skills.
