Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils at a specialist SEND school in Gateshead. You will support children with complex learning needs, autism, sensory differences and communication difficulties, helping them access education while developing independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils in SEND settings is desirable.
• Ability to support learners with complex learning needs, autism, sensory differences and communication difficulties.

• Supporting pupils during lessons and structured activities.
• Helping learners follow routines and access education.
• Encouraging communication and interaction.
• Supporting individual learning and development targets.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Promoting independence and practical life skills.

This position offers the opportunity to support children and young people with complex learning needs, Autism, sensory differences and communication difficulties. You'll help pupils access their education while supporting their personal development and independence.
