Job summary

KERV Legal in Southampton is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its Complex Injury team. You will manage high-value, multi-track catastrophic injury claims, including brain and spinal injuries, amputations, and fatal claims for major insurer clients.

The role requires strong analytical skills, thorough knowledge of the litigation process and deadlines, and the ability to supervise junior staff and liaise with counsel through trials and conferences.

Qualifications

• Experience handling or assisting with high-value, multi-track personal injury claims.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comprehensive understanding of the litigation process, court rules, and relevant case law.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with a caseload of complex, high-value catastrophic injury claims from instruction to trial.
• Analyze liability, medical, and quantum evidence, including the use of Ogden Tables.
• Draft technical advice, pleadings, and legal documentation.
• Instruct counsel and attend conferences, JSMs, mediations, and trials.
• Support and delegate work to junior team members.
