Complex Emotional Needs Care Coordinator / Key Worker

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a motivated and enthusiastic Keyworker to become a full-time Key Worker in the new Complex Emotional Needs Service.

This role is for a passionate and energetic professional to join a dedicated team to work closely together to provide high-quality, evidence-based treatments in a psychologically informed way. This role is ideal for someone with a specialist interest in working with individuals with complex emotional needs and developing their therapeutic knowledge and skills.

The whole team values clinical supervision and reflective spaces, utilizing skills and psychological models to expand their own thinking.

Main duties of the job
  • Work as a core member of the community Complex Emotional Needs Service.
  • Collaborate with senior clinicians to ensure treatment programmes are delivered, monitored, and evaluated, including group work as required.
  • Commit to effective team working and coherent delivery of treatment and therapy.
  • Promote a high standard of patient care.
  • Work within the Trust's policies and standards set out in the Community Mental Health Teams Operational Policy and CEN Policy.
  • Participate as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in Community Mental Health Services, transitioning to the Complex Emotional Needs Service upon implementation.
  • Deliver all aspects of Care Coordination to the highest quality standards, utilizing available resources including supervision and consultation with Key Workers and other staff.
  • Provide in-reach support to the wider Navigo teams and Primary Care Networks.

Job responsibilities

Provide specialist assessments based on the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from various sources, including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, observations, and interviews with clients, families, and others involved in care.

Formulate and implement plans for formal psychological treatment and management of clients' mental health problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based methods.

Evaluate and decide on treatment options considering theoretical models and complex individual factors.

Manage an individual caseload including both individual and group therapy.

Provide specialist clinical advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals to contribute to clients' formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
