About

Bespoke Care are seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Carers to support a 20-year-old young woman withsevere learning disabilities, who isnon-verbaland has agastrostomyfor feeding and medication. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for care and the ability to support her physical, emotional, and communication needs, enabling her to live a happy, safe, and fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting.
  • After time we would expect Staff to Administer enteral gastrostomy feeding and medications in accordance with care plan. Support from parents also with this
  • Assist with safe repositioning, manual handling, and use of equipment such as hoists.
  • Provide postural support and work in line with physiotherapy and occupational therapy guidance.
  • Communicate effectively using non-verbal techniques and assistive communication tools.
  • Engage in sensory and therapeutic activities to support emotional and cognitive well-being.
  • Monitor for signs of distress, discomfort, or medical concerns and report promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment at all times.
  • Keep accurate daily records and follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals.Desirable:
    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
    • Moving and handling training.
    • First aid training.
    • Experience working in a family/home setting.
Benefits

Role available: Bank and fixed contract.

Shifts patterns that are available with this young lady to begin with but will increase.

Week days 5hrs per day and 10hr day shift over a weekend.

Bespoke care can offer extra hours within Bournemouth and the surrounding areas supporting our other complex care clients if extra hours are required.
