Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is recruiting a Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner at EKC Ashford College. This 25-hour-per-week role involves supporting students with profound health needs, including personal care and complex medical support, to help them thrive in and out of the classroom.

You will deliver tailored programmes (physiotherapy, SALT, social communication) and work closely with the Class Tutor to ensure safeguarding and inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support for students with complex medical needs, including personal care, monitoring, and safeguarding.
• Assist students with daily routines to promote dignity and independence.
• Deliver tailored programmes including physiotherapy, SALT, and social communication activities.
• Keep accurate records to maintain high care and safeguarding standards.
• Work with Class Tutor and staff to support learning in classroom and community settings.
