Day Shifts: Week 1 Wednesday and Thursday 08:00-20:00, Week 2 Tuesday 08:00-20:00

As a Sonderwell Complex Care Assistant, you can make a real difference to people’s lives by caring for their complex needs and enabling them to live the life they choose. You’ll join a supportive team that provides all the training and development you need to support your clients, helping you get the most out of this rewarding and fulfilling role.

Your role

Everyone is different. That’s the core of our approach to care. The opportunities range from taking clients to medical appointments or helping them get up in the morning, to spending a full twelve hours supporting them through their day. You’ll be there to look after their unique needs.

Required skills and experience

• Ability to build a connection with clients
• Ability to handle physical aspects of care
• Experience in Learning Disability, Autism, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour

Supporting you

Being a Sonderwell carer isn’t just about caring. It’s about being good with people—gaining trust from clients and families. We offer online and classroom training in complex care needs and the chance to study for a relevant NVQ. Depending on the client, you may work alone or as part of a team. You can support more than one client if you have the availability.

Before starting, you’ll meet your client and their family. You’ll have day-to-day support from a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager, and access to our ‘Carer App’ for insights and information. We provide all you need to succeed in this role.
