About the Role
As a Sonderwell Complex Care Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life by supporting them with complex care needs and helping them live the life they choose. You’ll be part of a dedicated and supportive team, with all the training and development you need to succeed in this fulfilling role.

Your Role
Every person is unique, and our approach to care reflects that. As a Complex Care Assistant, you’ll be providing tailored care and support that ranges from assisting with medical appointments, helping with daily tasks, and offering emotional support, to spending long hours engaging in activities.

In this role, you’ll be supporting a young adult with cerebral palsy to engage in activities of daily living and access the community. This client enjoys a variety of activities, from arts and crafts to watching horror movies and building Lego. Your ability to build a strong connection with your client and adapt to their needs will be key.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with suctioning and enteral feeding (Mic-Key Gastrostomy)

Manage medication administration

Provide personal care and support with daily activities

Build a rapport with clients and their families

Experience in complex care, including suctioning, enteral feeding, and managing seizures

A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach

The ability to form meaningful relationships and trust with clients

A genuine interest in supporting someone to live an independent, fulfilling life
