Who will you be helping to make life better for?

Prestige Nursing & Care are looking for experienced Care Assistants to support a lady in her own home who has complex care needs. She lives at home with family who are also very involved in her care, are extremely proactive and responsive to her needs. Your role is to support the family and provide respite support to them – to accompany her on outings and to day centre when required. She has a suitable mobility vehicle which you would need to drive – so drivers are important in her team. This lady has learning disabilities and complex health needs, she has cerebral palsy and therefore has complex moving and handling needs too. She isn’t able to communicate verbally but with her laughter (and sometimes cries) – she is able to guide you as to whether she is happy or not. She loves staff to sing and dance around her, she loves activities and she enjoys interaction/company.
