Complex Care Assistant Job Overview

  • Location: Tunbridge Wells
  • Hourly Rate: £15.00 to £16.83 per hour (with enhanced BH rates and over Festive Season)
  • Shifts available: Days and Nights
  • Schedule: Flexibility to work shifts, including Monday to Friday and alternate weekends

Full time or part time hours available throughout the day:

7:00am- 2:30pm

2:30pm- 10:00pm

7:00am- 10:00pm

Complex Care Assistants within the team may be required to take part in the on call rota. This is being at call - on standby should assistance be needed.

Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant

  • Please note you must be eligible to work in the UK. We are sorry, we do not currently offer sponsorship
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

We are looking for a Complex Care Assistant to join our team in Tunbridge Wells. Our position is to look after a young lady in her 30's who requires 24 hours care, seven days a week. The lady has complex communication needs so an understanding of verbal, non- verbal, augmented communication and Makaton would be helpful, although training will be given. She has a form of Cerebral Palsy, PEG feed and anxiety. Our client is very active and enjoy meeting friends and going out. She loves engaging with the community as well as having a quality time at home.

Throughout the working day you will be working alongside another Complex Care Assistant. Before you begin, you will have the opportunity to meet the client and the family to ensure you are well- prepared for the role.

Previous experience with the below is a strong advantage, but not essential as full training and support will be provided:

  • Working with individuals who can display behaviours that challenge, and learning disability
  • Autism

  • Planned physical intervention
