Job description

• Hourly Rate: £15.00 to £16.83 per hour

• Shifts available: Thursday between 7:00am and 6:00pm, one Saturday per month 12:00pm- 8:00pm, two Sundays per month 8:00am- 10:00pm and 10 pm to 7 am waking Sunday night available

We ask that there is some flexibility to cover sickness and annual leave within the Complex Care Assistant team.

Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant

• Previous care experience is essential

• Please note you must be eligible to work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship

• Full UK driving licence (essential)

About the Role:

Continuity of Care Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to support our sociable 40s male client living with complex health conditions and learning disabilities. He leads an active social life regularly attending activities in the community, but also enjoys staying at home, listening to music or watching DVDs. He requires a calm, patient carer who can provide a high level of complex care and support to access the community. He attends a Day Centre a couple of times a week, and likes going to Bowling or the CycloPark once a week. Before you begin, you will have the opportunity to meet your client and his family to shadow existing staff and to ensure you are well prepared for the role.

Our client requirements:

- Personal care

- Moving and handling

- Medication administration

- PEG (training will be given)

- Tracheostomy (training will be given)

- Basic household chores

Skills training specific to the individuals needs will be provided by Continuity Training Academy.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
