Job summary

A home care service provider in Chelmsford seeks a dedicated caregiver for 1:1 care in a home setting. Responsibilities include tracheostomy care, personal care, medication administration, and providing emotional support. Candidates must have relevant care qualifications and proven experience. A driver's license and car are required, and flexibility with shifts is essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with tracheostomy care (clinical competency required).
  • Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Responsibilities

  • Providing tracheostomy care and suctioning, in line with clinical protocols.
  • Monitoring respiratory function and identifying signs of distress.
  • Personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Medication administration and PEG feeding (if applicable).
  • Supporting mobility and repositioning to prevent pressure areas.
  • Accurate record keeping and communication with the healthcare team.

  • Accurate record keeping and communication with the wider healthcare team
