Llais – The Citizen Voice Body for Health and Social Care in Wales, trading as Llais, is seeking a Complaints Advocate (Band 6) for maternity cover in Carmarthen. The role is 37.5 hours, hybrid, with a salary of £40,559 to £48,841 per year.

Qualifications

• Welsh language ability is essential for this role.
• Experience communicating with complainants and navigating formal procedures is desirable.
• Ability to facilitate discussions between professionals and complainants, including sensitive topics.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and guidance to complainants about NHS and Social Care complaints processes in their language of choice.
• Facilitate effective discussion and resolution between professionals and complainants on contentious issues.
• Assist complainants to submit concise, well-structured concerns for Ombudsman investigations.
• Provide emotional and technical support during investigations, including interpreting reports.
• Report findings, trends and concerns to senior staff for follow-up actions.
