Job summary

Huawei Research and Development UK Limited in Cambridge/Edinburgh is seeking a compiler engineer to develop LLVM-based compilers and libraries, resolving real-world server, HPC and AI computing problems. You will analyze performance, apply optimizations, and contribute to open-source communities.

The role requires advanced C/C++ programming skills and knowledge of CPU/xPU architecture, with opportunities to influence compiler features and AI-assisted optimizations.

Job Summary

You will join a team of compiler engineer located in Cambridge/Edinburgh and global locations to develop compilers and libraries. You will learn to resolve real-world server, HPC and AI computing problems by analyzing performance issues, applying state of art optimizations, debugging the compilation procedure and present the result. You will be encouraged to solve problem in innovative ways. You will work in a diversified team with different culture background but share common goals. Your contribution can be up-streamed to open-source communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop LLVM based compilers:

  • Enable compiler for new architecture features

  • Design & implement optimization for xPU architectures

  • Use AI technology to help compiler optimize

Analyze performance of compiler generated code

Co-design with xPU architecture teams

Person Specification:Required:
  • Passionate to develop compiler

  • Advanced C/C++ programming skills
