Job summary

North Downs Specialist Referrals, part of Linnaeus Group, is recruiting a dedicated Veterinary Nursing Assistant (Patient Care Assistant) to join a team of specialists, residents and nurses. You will support inpatient care, walk dogs, feed pets and assist with medications.

Full training is provided. You will work 35 hours per week across early and late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, with a strong focus on compassionate animal care and professional development.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Motivated self-starter with a caring approach
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Interest in animal welfare and clinical development

Responsibilities

• Dog walking, feeding and oral medication administration
• Inpatient care support in hospital
• Hospital cleaning and maintenance
• Restrain patients during procedures
• Provide TLC to patients in care
