Job summary

The Education Alliance’s Howden Junior School in Peacehaven is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them access the curriculum. Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Level 2 ELSA qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties to access the curriculum.
• Work with individuals or small groups.
• Assist in language, reading, numeracy, handwriting, ICT, EAL.
• Meet physical needs and promote independence.
• Liaise with class teacher and SENCO about needs.
• Develop resources to support pupils.
