Job summary

Manor Wood School is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Bristol. You will work closely with teachers to support individual pupils and small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their goals.

You will promote independence, emotional wellbeing and positive role modelling, while building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families. A flexible, proactive team player with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English & Maths (C/4 or above) or higher is required.
  • A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to undertake training and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Support individual pupils and small groups across the curriculum.
  • Deliver personalised learning and behaviour support programmes.
  • Prepare resources and equipment.
  • Record pupil progress and important information.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social skills and self-esteem.
  • Supervise pupils throughout the school day, including lunchtime.
  • Accompany pupils on external trips and educational visits.
  • Support classroom organisation and displays.
  • Attend training and meetings and contribute to whole-school improvement.
