Job summary

All's Well School, Fareham, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners with social, emotional and mental health needs within a nurturing, safe environment. You’ll work alongside teachers to deliver personalised programmes, foster resilience and promote positive behaviour, helping pupils reach their goals.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4/C or above, Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent).
• Experience working with children and young people in education, care or support settings is essential.
• Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the delivery of learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
• Assisting with educational activities both in and outside the classroom.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with learners while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Promoting confidence, independence, self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting learners to overcome barriers to education.
• Working closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support learner progress.
• Supporting young people to prepare for their next steps, including transitions into further education, training or employment where appropriate.
• Promoting safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring concerns are raised and acted upon in line with school policies.
• Contributing to reviews, meetings and learner progress discussions.
• Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
