Job summary

Prime Life is hiring a Support Worker for Gilby House Nursing Home in Winterton. The role offers flexible full or part-time hours with comprehensive training and a fully funded DBS. You will provide respectful, dignified support, help residents engage in activities, and work with other professionals to tailor care plans.

Ideal candidates show genuine care for residents with varying needs, with prior care experience a plus but not required. Training is provided to all hires.

Qualifications

• Patient, understanding and respectful of residents' individual abilities.
• Prior experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
• Residents may have learning disabilities or mental health conditions; adapt approach accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Providing respectful and dignified support to residents.
• Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
• Providing companionship while giving emotional and practical support.
• Assisting residents to participate in daily living decisions.
• Helping with personal care, recreational activities and outings as needed.
• Promoting resident independence in meals and food preparation.
