Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care is seeking a compassionate and empathetic caregiver to support a middle-aged gentleman to live independently at home. Shifts cover breakfast, lunch and dinner with a total of 4 hours of support each day, on a schedule that includes every other weekend.

Responsibilities include personal care, health monitoring, meal preparation, companionship, and light housekeeping. PVG must be obtained; driver preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care and companionship.
• Ability to motivate and support independent living.
• Full training provided; PVG clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: Prompting and encouragement with getting dressed, washing, teeth brushing and staying hydrated.
• Monitoring Health: Prompting client to take medication and report health concerns to family.
• Meal Preparation: Help plan and prepare nutritious meals.
• Companionship: Engage in conversations, activities, and accompany to appointments and outings.
• Light Housekeeping: Assist with light household chores and maintain a clean living environment.
