Job summary

Oakland Care is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our friendly team at Harpenden Springs, Harpenden. You will work with the Head Chef to create nutritious, tasty meals tailored to residents' dietary needs.

You will support menu planning, ensure food hygiene and safety, supervise kitchen staff, and help manage stock and orders. The role is a permanent, 40-hour week with days across 7 days.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie in a care setting.
• Ability to plan nutritious, appetising menus and adapt for dietary needs.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with planning and preparing nutritious meals.
• Deliver varied menus for special diets and allergies.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety.
