Job summary

Slough Borough Council is seeking a compassionate Social Work Assistant to join the East Locality team. You’ll carry out holistic assessments, care and support planning, reviews and timely enquiries to help residents live safely and independently in their communities.

This rewarding role requires experience in social care, strong communication and IT skills, and the ability to record information clearly under pressure.

• Experience of working in a social care environment with vulnerable people.
• Strong communication, IT and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to record information clearly under pressure and support people in distress.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic assessments, care and support planning, reviews and timely responses to enquiries.
• Identify risks and promote wellbeing to create personalised, strengths-based plans.
• Help residents remain connected, supported and as independent as possible.
• Speak with residents, carers and partners to document information clearly and support people in distress.
