Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide focused 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs in a friendly school within the Kettering and Daventry area. This temporary role offers immediate starts and is paid at competitive rates.

You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to tailor learning strategies, foster an inclusive environment, and support social, emotional, and academic development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in 1:1 or small group settings is desirable.
• Calm, caring and consistent approach with strong communication skills.
• Passion for inclusive education and making a meaningful impact.
• Resilience, patience and adaptability to changing pupil needs.
• Willingness to obtain or hold a valid DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN during lessons and daily activities.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and adapt learning strategies.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development.
• Celebrate progress and milestones with the pupil.
