Job summary

Staff Partners Mental Health in the United Kingdom is seeking a compassionate Staff Nurse (RMN or RNLD) to join a specialist Learning Disability and Autism service. Qualifications

• A relevant nursing qualification as an RMN or RNLD.
• Current NMC registration.
• PMVA training.
• Experience or an interest in working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex mental health needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach to work.
• A positive, caring and compassionate attitude.
• The ability to remain calm and professional when supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users.
• Taking responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans.
• Observing, recording and reporting changes in service users' physical and mental health.
• Maintaining accurate, timely and confidential clinical records.
• Promoting dignity, independence, choice and person-centred care.
• Supporting the management of behaviours of concern in line with appropriate policies, procedures and evidence-based practice.
• Contributing to risk assessments, care planning and ongoing reviews.
• Promoting a positive culture of teamwork, learning and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring all care is delivered in accordance with professional standards, legislation and NMC requirements.
