Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a Personal Assistant in Dereham to support a 12-year-old girl with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and epilepsy. The role offers £16.00 per hour with 0.45 per mile travel expenses, mainly Saturdays and Sundays, plus school holidays.

You’ll help with community activities, personal care and developing daily living skills in a calm, patient and enthusiastic manner, enabling family respite.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs, autism and learning disabilities.
• Understand autism and ADHD.
• Knowledge of epilepsy, including seizure management and emergency procedures.
• Willing to complete the provided epilepsy, Health and Safety and GDPR training.
• Qualifed in Health and Social Care or childcare or related field (NVQ 2/3).
• Strong communication, reliability, calmness, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Assistance during community activities and outings, e.g., park, soft play, swimming.
• Personal care support including toileting and pad changes.
• Help with life skills: cooking, light tidying, and grocery shopping twice weekly.
• Support to remain independent and participate in social/leisure activities.
