Job summary

Penderels Trust in Exhall, England is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to support a non-verbal young boy with autism, ADHD, and severe learning disabilities. The role is on-site in Exhall and involves helping him access community activities while promoting independence and social interaction in a safe, engaging way.

The ideal PA will be energetic, understanding of challenging behaviours, and willing to join in with activities and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

• Support and/or prompt with personal care including toileting, showering, dressing.
• Encourage access to sporting and leisure activities and socialisation.
• Promote friendships, independence, and one-to-one trust.

Responsibilities

• Support the individual in accessing community activities and developing life skills.
• Ensure safety in community settings and manage supervision given the individual's needs.
