Job summary

You will assess needs, develop care plans, manage medicines, and mentor colleagues in line with the NMC Code, driving person-centred care within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Provides high standards of nursing care and develops care plans.
• Oversees medicine management in line with policies and current legislation.
• Maintains professional relationships with visitors and external stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines.
• Supports, guides and mentors others per the NMC Code.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of care; assess residents' needs and wishes; develop services to improve quality of life.
• Champion independence and personal choice; update care plans to meet needs.
• Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift; ensure medicines are stored and administered properly.
• Build the service’s positive reputation; liaise with visitors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines; identify and resolve risks.
• Support, guide, teach and mentor others in line with the NMC Code.
