Job summary

Cygnet Nield House in Crewe, Cheshire is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our specialist mental health hospital for women. You will provide practical, emotional and therapeutic support across two wards, working 42 hours per week on a mixed 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights).

Ideal candidates have care experience or transferable people skills, a clear communicator mindset, and the motivation to develop their career with Cygnet.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or transferable skills from people-focused roles.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Comfort with working in a mental health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to women with mental health needs.
• Deliver person-centred care and therapeutic support.
• Build trust and positive relationships with service users.
• Support safeguarding and maintain professional boundaries.
