Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for our Blyth care home. You will support the kitchen team, help plate meals, and ensure clean and safe preparation areas to deliver a high-quality dining experience for residents.

Applicants should have kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. This permanent part-time role offers a rewarding environment and the chance to contribute to residents’ wellbeing and comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Commitment to high dining standards and resident comfort.
• Good communication with kitchen and care home teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs to plate meals and prepare food trolleys; keep prep areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and comply with COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
