Avery Healthcare Group in the UK is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support the catering function at Hanford Court Care Home in Hanford, Stoke-on-Trent. You will help with food preparation, maintain hygiene, and deliver high-quality meals and beverages to residents.

The role requires Basic Food Hygiene, Health and Safety knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently under a busy workload.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Be efficient with a high level of physical effort.
• Demonstrate initiative and a flexible team worker.
• Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.

Responsabilités

• Support catering in food preparation and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene in all food handling and preparation.
• Contribute to a collaborative team, respond to workload promptly.
• Advise on supply and quality of items; order replacements as needed.
• Respect the dignity and individuality of residents and liaise with visitors.
