Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join the Hanford Court Care Home team in Hanford, Stoke on Trent. You will support catering in food preparation and maintain a clean kitchen to ensure high standards for residents.

The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to work under a demanding workload while respecting residents’ dignity and needs.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Be an efficient worker with the ability to sustain a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a caring attitude towards residents.

Aufgaben

• Support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for safe production of beverages and meals.
• Ensure high quality and comprehensive service to residents.
• Understand the principles of safe food handling to meet hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working and respond positively to colleagues.
• Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks and ensure timely ordering of replacements.
• Act respectfully towards residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
