Job summary

Bupa Clare House in Uxbridge is seeking a Kitchen Assistant on a Bank (zero hours) contract to join our caring team at Clare House Care Home. You will support the kitchen, help plate meals, and maintain clean preparation areas, ensuring residents receive quality dining experiences.

This role requires prior kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You will work closely with chefs and care staff to deliver meals that meet residents' needs and preferences in a friendly home setting.

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• You will deliver an excellent dining experience for residents and work well with the home teams.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
