Job summary

Care UK is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to help maintain a clean, well-organized kitchen and assist with meal preparation for residents. You will work under the Head/Second Chef and Home Manager, following safety and hygiene standards to support a caring environment.

This role offers flexible scheduling, access to our Catering Academy for training, and clear opportunities for career development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Compassionate approach to resident care and service.
• Able to follow recipes and produce preparation guidelines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt within a care catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
• Prepare produce for mealtime, e.g., vegetables and sandwiches.
• Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce.
• Safely store cleaning materials in designated areas.
• Clean cooking utensils and pots to required standards.
• Carry out tasks assigned by Head/Second Chef or Home Manager.
