Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Edenbridge Manor Care Home in Kent. You will support the catering function, assist with food preparation, and maintain kitchen hygiene to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

Shifts run 07:00–16:15 and 10:45–20:00. A DBS check is required and Avery covers the cost. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required. You will grow within a caring, supportive team that values respect and accountability.

Qualifications

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Have knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Be an efficient worker with the ability to handle a demanding workload and support the team.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
• Ensure safe food handling and hygiene standards are met.
• Assist with ordering replacement goods and coordinating supplies as needed.
• Interact respectfully with residents and visitors, upholding dignity at all times.
