Job summary

Acorn Lodge Care Home in Nuneaton is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join the bank team. You will ensure cleanliness and laundry standards are maintained in a care home environment, following standard operating procedures and resident-focused service.

The role requires cleaning duties, attention to safety, and compassionate care for residents, with flexibility to cover various responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintaining areas in good condition.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and that personal space and belongings are respected.
