Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Sittingbourne is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Elvy Court Care Home. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards, following our procedures to deliver hotel-style service in a residential care setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping and laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space and belongings are respected.
