Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Hospital Porter to support clinical and non-clinical teams across the trust. You will assist with moving patients, equipment, and supplies, ensuring safety and dignity during transport.

Qualifications

• Basic level of education in literacy and numeracy.
• Able to work as a team member.
• Dealing with the public and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe, courteous and confidential manner following Trust policies and procedures.
• Assist patients into wheelchairs and onto beds, ensuring their comfort during transport.
• Move patients and equipment around the hospital site using wheelchairs, beds or trolleys.
• Deliver drugs and IV fluids to wards in accordance with policy; report any equipment faults.
• Respond to tasks from supervisors or helpdesk and maintain safety and cleanliness.
