Job summary

The Warren Home Care Ltd is seeking Health Care Assistants to join a growing team across Suffolk. Vacancies include full-time and part-time, permanent and flexible opportunities.

You will provide person-centred care to adults in their own homes, supporting daily living, independence, and wellbeing. Responsibilities include personal care, medication support, nutrition, emotional support, and accurate record keeping, with emphasis on dignity, safety, and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays where required.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care and Support: Assisting with washing, bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene; supporting continence care; mobility and transfers; promoting independence during meals.
• Medication Support: Assisting with medication administration, prompting and monitoring per care plans; recording accurately; reporting concerns.
• Nutrition and Hydration: Preparing meals and drinks per dietary needs; encouraging adequate nutrition and fluid intake; reporting concerns.
• Emotional and Social Support: Providing companionship and encouragement; promoting activities and relationships; supporting independence and wellbeing.
• Record Keeping and Communication: Maintaining electronic care records; completing daily notes and incident reports; communicating with colleagues, professionals, users and families.
• Health, Safety and Safeguarding: Following care plans and risk assessments; reporting safeguarding concerns; infection control and PPE; promoting dignity and respect.
• Personal qualities: Compassion, patience, empathy, reliability, and professionalism; ability to work independently and as part of a team; good organisation and IT literacy.
