Job summary

Home Instead Tyne Valley is seeking caring Care Professionals to support clients in and around Hexham, Prudhoe, Corbridge and the Tyne Valley area. As a Care Assistant, you will provide non-medical services to help clients stay independent in their own homes.

Join our compassionate team to assist with daily activities, meals, medication reminders and companionship, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping others with a friendly, empathetic demeanour.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Basic first aid knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals and help with feeding when necessary.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor clients' well-being.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
• Document client progress and report any changes in condition.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide basic first aid when needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to health and safety regulations.
