Job summary

Black Horse Care Ltd is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in the West Yorkshire area. You will help clients with daily living activities, follow care plans, and provide companionship in home care settings.

The role requires good English communication, basic IT skills, and a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. A driving allowance is paid; sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Resident within Wakefield, Leeds, Bradford or surrounding areas.
• UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is preferred (driving allowance mentioned).
• Experience in home care is desirable but not required.
• Good English communication, verbal and written.
• Basic IT and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and ensure client well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
